Learn about the history of beekeeping
The experience begins with an introduction to the Honey Origins museum collection.
Old beehives, beekeeping tools, family photos, and authentic objects from another era narrate the evolution of beekeeping and honey production.
You will discover how beekeepers worked in the past, how their tools and techniques evolved, and how the course of honey changed over the years.
Journey inside the beehive
Put on your VR headset and see the world from a bee's perspective.
Through Virtual Reality technology, you will be transported inside the beehive, get to know the life of the colony, and travel to the mountains and forests of Halkidiki.
You will follow the journey of honey from nectar collection to extraction, packaging, and the jar that reaches your table.
Discover Greek honeys
The experience concludes with a guided tasting of selected Greek honeys.
You will taste different varieties and discover their aromas, textures, and unique flavor characteristics.
At the same time, you will learn how the place, season, and flowering affect the color, aroma, and character of each honey.
